Chapter of Harmony No.372

The installation meeting of the Chapter of Harmony No.372 last night promised to be a memorable one – but not for the right reasons!

The meeting started early due to Western Power informing the hall that the electricity was to be switched off at 6.30pm and so we needed to commence the festive board whilst we still had power to cook and light to see.  One wondered if we were to have salad by candle light!

However, we needn’t have worried as following a great ceremony where E. Comp C. Bird remained in office, E. Comp T. Devin was installed as “H” and Comp A. Carrah installed as “J” the festive board was superb and what’s more it was cooked by a member of the Chapter.

Whilst it is true that the numbers (just like everywhere) are a little down at the moment, the welcome and the hospitality was first class – and on a personal note, the whiskey raffle was outstanding 😉
