You have now completed your journey in ‘Pure Antient Masonry’ by being exalted into the Royal Arch.

The documents are listed in the recommended reading order, working from the top going down. The list may seem a bit daunting, it is not compulsory reading, remember Masonry is for fun.
The first document provides an overview of the Royal Arch degree, what happened in the ceremony of Exaltation, what does it mean, regalia and the officers off a chapter. By completing the Solomon module Welcome Companion your understanding of this degree will be greatly improved, hopefully you have completed the Welcome Modules for Entered Apprentice, Fellowcraft and Master Mason
Much of this will be explained to you by your Sponsor. The Chapter Mentor and other officers will support them.

Appointment of Provincial Grand Mentor
At the Provincial Grand Chapter Meeting in November 2026, I was both very honoured and humbled to be appointed the first Provincial Grand Mentor for the Royal Arch. This is a new Office created by Supreme Grand Chapter to coordinate and drive the Mentoring programme in the Provinces. I am currently privileged to hold the office of the Provincial Grand Mentor in the craft and to continue the theme of One Journey-One Organisation in that all members if the craft should complete their journey in Pure Antient Masonry by joining the Royal Arch. Companions often find it difficult to understand the Royal Arch, it is therefore fundamental that we Mentor them on their journey. Many Chapters have already appointed a Chapter Mentor, please however remember that we are ALL Mentors.
In simple terms it is helping Companions by Engaging, Educating and Encouraging them i.e. the 3 E’s which leads to Enjoyment and fun. The main sources of educational information are the Provincial Grand Chapter website and Solomon (Solomon.ugle.org.uk) In conclusion, my role is to help Chapters to Engage and Educate their Companions if you need anything please ask mentoring@devonshirefreemason.org.uk. Finally, please remember that you can make your own daily in advancement in masonic education by completing the WELCOME Modules on Solomon.
