The Royal Arch Summer Dinner – Jazz in the Bay – Sat 21st Sept 2024
This years annual Summer Dinner was held at the Riviera Centre Torquay where Companions and their Ladies were treated to a wonderful evening of food, wine and entertainment.
The ME Grand Superintendent Chris Roach welcomed everyone including E.Comp Nick Ball and also E.Comp. John Clendenning. Music was provided by the Sam Massey Jazz Quintet and a number of magicians wandered around the tables entertaining and amazing those present.
The evening really was the social highlight of the Royal Arch Calendar.
A raffle draw was held with some exceptional prizes, including Iberian holidays in Portugal and Spain. My wife particularly enjoyed the latter! Special mention must go to our Charity Steward Arthur Blamey who organised the draw helping to raise £4000 for Prostrate research which was then matched by a donation of £4000 from the Grand Superintendent’s Fund. In my opinion it was the best meal I have ever had at the Riviera Centre and the table staff were excellent.
When next year’s date is announced, book in early as it’s not a night to miss!
