The Solomon Academy Diploma
One Journey – One Organisation
Solomon is hosted by United Grand Lodge of England (www.Solomon.ugle.org.uk ) and serves as a virtual learning platform for Craft and Chapter Masons, providing resources on the history and meaning of Masonry. It also features Welcome Modules for Entered Apprentice, Fellow Craft, Master Mason and Companion. Thus reinforcing the link of One Journey – One Organisation between the Craft and the Chapter.
Each “Welcome module” leads the user in a journey of discovery as he progresses through a series of videos and interactive quizzes designed to explain the fundamentals of the degree. Whilst their primary role is for the education of newer Brethren, more experienced Brethren and Companions will either learn something or be reminded of something they have forgotten!
Of the 55000 people registered on Solomon, less than 500 Solomon Academy Diplomas have been awarded to people who complete all four Welcome Modules, of which only 9 reside in Devonshire. If you have received a Certificate for completing a single module or have the received the Solomon Academy Diploma please inform the Provincial Grand Mentor for the craft ( mentoring@devonshirefreemasons.org.uk ) so that you achievement can be recognised.
