Solomon Academy Diploma

On the 5th June 2025 at the Pelican Lodge No 7878, W. Bro. John Pritchard was presented with his Solomon Academy Diploma. This diploma is a significant achievement, as only about 350 diplomas have been awarded out of approximately 55,000 registered users on Solomon (Solomon.ugle.org.uk), a Virtual Learning Environment designed to support Masonic education. The Diploma is awarded to those who have completed the Solomon “Welcome module” for Entered Apprentice, Fellow Craft, Master Mason and Companion.

Each “Welcome module” leads the user in a journey of discovery as he progresses through a series of videos, interactive quizzes designed to explain the fundamentals of the degree. Whilst their primary role is for the education of newer Brethren more experienced Brethren will either learn something or be reminded of something they have forgotten!

W. Bro. John was also presented with a lapel badge awarded only to holders of the Diploma. The badge depicts a rose and candle. The candle represents the light of truth and learning, while the rose embodies love and compassion, and the enduring friendships formed during our Masonic journey.
